Starting young with mud and markers as my creative outlet, I grew up and moved on to the sophistication of an intimidating box with too many buttons, a digital camera.
After growing up in Delaware, I fledged and migrated westward. For over a decade, I followed the zugunruhe ways of my feathered friends as a wildlife biologist. From releasing falcons in West Texas, locating woodpeckers in the Sierra Nevada, surveying for endangered birds along the Colorado River, monitoring bats in California, rescuing sea turtles in Costa Rica, studying birds in Peru, and volunteering building a house in Guatemala, I continue my insatiable urge to explore the world. Along with biology, I have taught at outdoor schools, worked as a ranch hand, and photograph events, portraits, & weddings.
Whether photographing baby toads or capturing the love and passion between two humans, my heart and soul are always with me behind the lens.
Now located in the California Bay Area, you can find me at the Paicines Ranch being a photographer, social media designer, and jill-of-all-trades. And, chasing chickadees, of course.
